Q1. When #CareerServices pros communicate about the resource we offer, we have several different audiences including, employers, faculty, and of course STUDENTS. Which audience presents the greatest challenge in your communications efforts? #CareerServChat

Q2. What are some of the reasons it is challenging to reach students now that may not have been factors 5 or 10 years ago? What are some obstacles unique to communicating with Gen Z? #CareerServChat

Q3. When planning a marketing and communications campaign directed at students, what would you say is the first step? What should MarCom pros do before writing copy or designing awesome graphics? #CareerServChat

Q4. Big picture: Content is critical to the success of any marketing effort, but the “noise” from the many people trying to get students to notice their content can be tough to cut through. From a big picture perspective, how do you grab the attention of today’s student? #CareerServChat

Q5. Now for details. First let’s talk about what does NOT work: increasing sheer email volume to students. What % of students open your emails? Does your office limit the number of emails to students? How do you balance timely info with too much volume? #CareerServChat

Q6. Of course what works is more complicated! What is the most effective vehicle aside from email for reaching students? If social media tops your list, which platform? How do you track students’ engagement with your communications? #CareerServChat

Q7. We know that personalization is key to increasing engagement, but can be time-consuming and some smaller shops can’t devote as much resources as others can. What software or apps have you found to save the most time when adding personalization to your student communications? #CareerServChat

Q8. Plagiarism = flattery so... Who are the most thoughtful voices in this aspect of the #CareerServices space that we should be listening to and learning from? Who is leading the way? Share in the weeks ahead with the hashtag #CareerServChat!
